(Quicker) beefstew
If you don't have time for a Boeuf Bourguignon, here is a quicker - but also less delicious - alternative. Saute cubes of beef in butter. Add chopped carrots, turnips, & onions, along with sliced mushrooms. Pour over red wine, beef broth, and tomato paste and simmer for an hour. If it's still very liquid, remove the meat and vegetables and boil down the liquid a bit before returning the meat. Sprinkle with chopped parsley.
I used 600 gr. of meat, 2 carrots, 2 turnips, 1 onion, 8 fresh mushrooms, 1/2 liter of wine and 3 dl of broth.
