Steak salad


A great American invention and exactly what I crave after 2 weeks in East Africa eating chicken for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Pick a nice marbled piece of meat. Heat an iron skillet in the oven turned on to "broil", when hot, put the steak in the skillet, return to oven 5-10 minutes (depending on thickness of steak and your personal taste), remove and let sit a bit before cutting. Mix with greens and / or asparagus and a good vinaigrette.
